With the centuries of art going on inside Italy's buildings, and believe me, every nook and cranny has something to catch your eye, it stands to reason that it's streets and parks are full of art as well. A small sampling - that doesn't even mention the every-corner shrine or votive built by residents to honour the dead.
Here, Marc and a sculpture in the Pitti Palace gardens. We were struck by the similarity!
My favourite cafe advertisement in old Florence, where the streets can be so grey.
A pizza maker in Rome gets into the Nativity spirit with their dough!

On the parapet of St. Elmo's Castle.
Naples, the Bay buildings are glorious.
Even the love-locks are pretty in the setting sun.
Two of Naples subway stations are incredible! Every train is graffiti'd and even the Funicular looks mathematically artistic. On the right, we're about 3 storeys below ground. They've built a natural light tunnel extending all the way up to the street, very cool.
Wowee, this one we rode might be 5 escalator rides, and long ones, below ground.
Love this stuff!
It started with the Minoans
And Pompeii
